TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT
PEOPLE ARE SAYING!
|
"We look forward to Kindermusik, especially now that Isabella
loves to dance around and sing. We have played your cd's over
and over - since she was 4 months old! Her favorite is still
the Feathers cd."
"Kindermusik has enriched our lives, and we've met our best
friends there! Isabella's social life far exceeds ours, and we
are accepting it more and more these days!"
"Thank you, Deb, for offering a world of possibilities to
us! We would love to see Isabella enjoying music for years to
come!"
Sincere regards,
Michelle and Rupert

"I wanted to thank you for everything you do! I can't believe
the growth I have seen in my daughter Katherine since we started
Kindermusik. She loves music, and is able to recognize favorite
songs. Certain songs will calm her when nothing else will work. Her
father was startled the other day to see her tapping out the beats
to the song they were listening to. But the most amazing
difference is in Katie's ability to pay attention. I couldn't
believe it the first time I saw her tune out all other distractions
in class and tune in only to you and the drum. Now I see her doing
it at home, when we are practicing our songs, and even when we are
just spending time together. Its an amazing thing to see in
a baby who is only 6 months old. Katherine has also
learned that she can play nearby while I read the newspaper or a
book, I do not have to hold her every second. I cannot believe
that after 3 months of Kindermusik classes I can see so much
measurable growth in Katherine's physical, intellectual and
social abilities."
"THANK YOU!"

In response to the question: "Would you or have you
recommended KM Village or Our Time to a friend and why or why
not?"
"Oh yes! I have recommended Kindermusik and Purple
Possibilities all over town! I've talked about it with my neighbors,
friends at church, on the playground, at the Burger King playplace
after class... you name it! Why do I so strongly recommend this
program? Several reasons. First, I was raised in a family that
values music education so I learned from a young age that this is
important and I continue to believe it. Second, I worked in Northern
Virginia for Wolf Trap (the National Foundation for the Performing
Arts), which runs a comprehensive early childhood music education
program. I was privileged to observe it at work and learn about it
in order to write and produce their brochures and such, and became a
proponent of the value of music education for the youngest of
children. When I moved here and had a child of my own, I enrolled
him as an infant in another local program and was very disappointed.
It was nothing more than playtime set to music. There was no
learning that went on for parent or child. A neighbor introduced me
to Kindermusik. What a difference! Now, this was what I had learned
to expect from music education during my time at Wolf Trap. It is
immediately evident how much preparation goes into the curriculum as
well as how much preparation the instructor does for each and every
session of this class. I know both Ethan and I learn and grow
every time. Third, this program can really impact a child's
development and listening skills - and a family's home life! Yes,
Ethan has learned to love music and grown some basic musical skills,
but that's not what I have valued the most. There is much to take
away from this experience and the most important skills have nothing
to do with music. Music is simply a way to teach these young
minds critical life skills - and Deb is a master at it!"

"We
have been in Kindermusik for a year now – my girls will be 23
months in a few days. We did attend another music class before
KM and I was not very satisfied with it. So we started with
Village (KM for infants) and then switched to Our Time in the
spring."
"There
are so many reasons I love it! First of all, my husband and I
love music so this was a good way of adding to what they listen to
at home. KM teaches them a lot of musical skills and also non
musical skills. They can both keep a steady beat (one does
really well with it) which is integral to a lot of things we do on a
daily basis like brushing our hair and teeth, etc. Its been a
good way to teach them to “stop” because the music
incorporates long pauses so that can give them to time to stop and
think about what comes next in the music. This is amazing to
watch. We took one of the Village songs and use it as part of
their bedtime routine. The girls ask for the CD’s (that come
with the class) by name – their favorite is Zoo Train that we did
over the summer. They still sing songs that we learned last
spring – and they sing them on key. When I tell them its
time for music class they yell “B” (that’s what they call Mrs.
B”) and “Lalala” which is how they say Lydia, her daughter
that helps us. They also run for the door and it’s one of
the few things they will leave their dad at home to go to. (He
takes precedent 99% of the time!) When they get there, they
act like they own the place because they love it. My girls are
very active so they have a hard time sitting still, which can
sometimes be a challenge for me, because I want them to pay
attention. Deb kindly moved the OT class earlier because it
was interfering with nap time so that was hopefully part of our
problem. Deb and Lydia clearly love the kids and get so
excited when they see them grow – not only physically, but
musically and emotionally."

"Samantha
and I have loved your Kindermusik Our Time
class. Thank you!! We look forward to
class every week. This program has impacted
our lives well beyond the 1-hour a week we spend
with you. I thank you for enriching us with
multidimensional ways of exploring music with a
one-year-old." Pam |
