5
through 7 years
(Click
here for class times)
Our four-semester Young Child program supports
our students also taking private lessons and their parents. It
provides a shared forum for learning and discovery while
building a solid foundation of essential skills for joyful,
purposeful learning together. Students explore many facets of
the musical experience-speaking, singing, moving, dancing,
listening, creating and playing instruments, as well as
learning about reading and writing music.

Semester 2
This semester your child continues developing his glockenspiel skills. We'll experience new musical concepts such as piano and forte (loud and quiet) and crescendo and decrescendo (getting louder and quieter). An ensemble experience will culminate the semester's end.
Semester 4
In Semester 4, your child will become well prepared for further musical study. Your child will become a strong "ensemble musician" and further develop her creativity by improvising musically. Plus, she'll learn to play the soprano recorder.
